I started with Osborne Appointments in November 2014 as an “unpaid” volunteer through the job centre. After only four weeks OA offered me an apprenticeship. I didn’t have any previous office experience but the apprenticeship and support I received during the next 12 months was invaluable.

My first year in business was beyond my wildest dreams. I was paired up with a business mentor and quickly began to learn new skills. The training Academy supported my learning and I visited a number of offices shadowing other consultants. I had a pay rise after four months of the scheme and won “Apprentice of the Year” in July 2015. At the end of the apprenticeship I was offered a position with Osborne Appointments and six months later I was promoted to Assistant Temporaries Consultant, where I look after our candidate workforce. At the company annual conference in January 2016, our department won the “Team of the Year” award. Wow…what a great first year

There is a fantastic feeling in our office and I have fun doing the job I love. There is so much variety and no two days are the same. It’s challenging but it’s so rewarding.
